HB1126 by Workman (Relating to the qualifications for incentives for the film, television, and multimedia production industries.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Government Code to include certain limitations to the qualifications for incentives for moving image projects. The bill would take effect September 1, 2015.

The Office of the Governor indicates that any costs associated with implementation of the bill could be absorbed within existing resources.

Local Government Impact

The Office of the Governor reported that local governments may see a decrease in production within the state annually.

Travis County and the City of Corpus Christi reported no fiscal impact is anticipated.
