FROM:
Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board
IN RE:
HB1135 by Muñoz, Jr. (Relating to a transportation allotment for a school district transporting students to dual credit courses.), As Introduced
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would require transportation provided by a district for a student attending a dual credit course during the school day to be included in the district's regular transportation allotment within the Foundation School Program.
According to the Texas Education Agency, transportation for a student attending a dual credit course during the school day is already included in the district's regular transportation allotment. Therefore there should be no additional cost associated with implementing the provisions of the bill.
The bill would take effect September 1, 2015.
Local Government Impact
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
