HB1141 by Israel (Relating to reports regarding the use of restraints on pregnant prisoners in county jails.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code to require each county jail to submit a report to the Commission on Jail Standards regarding the jail's use of any type of restraints to control or restrict the movement of a prisoner who is pregnant or who gave birth within the last three previous days. The bill would require the Commission on Jail Standards to prescribe a form for the required report.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
