No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Family Code to require the Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) to compile and report on the number of children in the managing conservatorship of the department who are minor parents and on the number of children in the managing conservatorship of the department who are also the children of minor parents. DFPS would be required to publish the report on the agency's website. The bill would also require DFPS to provide specific types of information and support services to foster children who are pregnant or minor parents.
DFPS does not anticipate any significant fiscal impact as a result of complying with the provisions of the bill.
