IN RE:
HB1161 by Miller, Rick (Relating to the composition of the Texas Military Preparedness Commission.), As Introduced
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend Government Code to make certain changes to the Texas Military Preparedness Commission membership. The bill would increase the size of the Commission and place certain requirements for eligibility on the members. The bill would not affect current members of the Commission. As vacancies occur, the bill would require the Governor to appoint members to the Commission with qualifications that reflect the change in law. The bill would take effect September 1, 2015.
The Office of the Governor indicates that any costs associated with implementation of the bill could be absorbed within existing resources.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
