No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill amends various sections of the Texas Education Code as it relates to the process by which a governor may appoint a student regent, and the standard that a student regent must maintain while serving. Based on the analysis of the Office of the Governor and institutions of higher education, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.
