Honorable Robert Nichols, Chair, Senate Committee on Transportation
FROM:
Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board
IN RE:
HB1273 by Farias (Relating to certain military specialty license plates.), As Engrossed
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Transportation Code to require the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) to issue three new Korean Veteran military specialty license plates, two new Vietnam Veteran military specialty license plates, and two new Desert Shield/Storm veteran license plates. The bill would require the DMV to issue 10 new Disabled Veteran license plates depicting one emblem from certain other military specialty license plates to which a person is entitled.
Based on the analysis of the DMV, it is assumed any costs associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within the agency's existing resources.
Local Government Impact
No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
