LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD
Austin, Texas

FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION

May 19, 2015

TO:
Honorable Robert Nichols, Chair, Senate Committee on Transportation

FROM:
Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
HB1273 by Farias (Relating to certain military specialty license plates.), Committee Report 2nd House, Substituted

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Transportation Code to add new eligibility requirements and specialty license plates to be issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles for Korean War Veterans, Vietnam Veterans, Desert Shield/Storm/Provide Comfort Veterans, and Prisoners of War.

Based on the analysis of the DMV, it is assumed any costs associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within the agency's existing resources.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
