No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

This bill amends the Texas Education code related to the required qualifications of persons admitted to educator preparation programs (EPPs). The bill would require all individuals to meet minimum requirements to participate in an EPP without any exceptions.

Based on the analysis of the Texas Education Agency, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.

The bill takes effect September 1, 2015.
