No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Occupations Code to require the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement to work in collaboration with certain entities to establish and maintain two training programs and one continuing education program for first responders and/or police officers on the effects of traumatic brain injury and interaction techniques with individuals with traumatic brain injury.  It is assumed any costs associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within existing resources.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
