No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Government Code relating to the re-issuance of a lost or stolen identification card of a peace officer. The bill would require a law enforcement agency that issued an identification card to certain officers to issue a duplicate of the card under certain circumstances.
The bill would repeal Subchapter H, Chapter 614, Government Code, as amended by Chapter 1187 ( H.B. 638).
The Department of Public Safety indicated that any costs associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within the agency's existing resources.
