No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure to require the disclosure of certain information, as described by the bill, about each substance to be used in the execution of a person convicted of capital murder. The Texas Department of Criminal Justice anticipates any additional work resulting from the passage of the bill could be absorbed within current resources. The bill would take effect immediately upon receiving a two-thirds majority vote in each house, otherwise the bill would take effect September 1, 2015.
