HB1771 by Raney (Relating to the donation of sick leave by state employees.), As Engrossed

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Government Code to allow state employees to donate any amount of their accrued sick leave to another employee at the same agency who has exhausted their own sick leave and any sick leave pool amounts available to them. Neither employee may receive or provide remuneration in exchange for the donation of sick leave. The bill would be effective September 1, 2015.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
