No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Property Code relating to the perfection and priority of an agricultural lien on an agricultural crop. The bill would provide criteria for when such liens may be considered perfected, as described. The Texas Department of Agriculture indicates that bill provisions would not result in a significant fiscal implication to the department or the state.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
