No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure to require that a witness, including a suspect or accused person, who is not granted immunity in exchange for testifying before a grand jury is entitled to receive notice that they are scheduled to appear before the grand jury at least 10 days before their appearance is required, unless notice is waived. Based on the analysis of the Office of Court Administration, no significant fiscal impact to the state is anticipated.
