IN RE:
HB1899 by Schaefer (Relating to a ribbon for certain members of the military forces who served in support of operations to secure the Texas border.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Government Code to allow the governor or adjutant general, if given the authority, to adopt policies and regulations related to awarding a Texas Border Security and Support Service Ribbon to Texas military forces who meet certain criteria as it relates to service in support of Texas border security. This analysis assumes that implementation of provisions of the bill could be absorbed within Texas Military Department resources. The bill would take effect September 1, 2015.
Local Government Impact
No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
