Honorable Charles Perry, Chair, Senate Committee on Agriculture, Water & Rural Affairs
FROM:
Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board
IN RE:
HB1934 by Kacal (Relating to the Beef Promotion and Research Council of Texas.), As Engrossed
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Agriculture Code to provide that the Beef Promotion and Research Council (BPRC) of Texas may conduct meetings by telephone conference call, subject to notification requirements as described. Open meetings would have real-time audibility requirements and tape recordings would be available afterwards. The Texas Department of Agriculture indicates the agency could reasonably absorb any costs related to implementing bill provisions within the agency's existing resources.
Local Government Impact
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
