LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD
Austin, Texas

FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION

March 18, 2015

TO:
Honorable Joseph Pickett, Chair, House Committee on Transportation

FROM:
Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
HB1968 by Martinez, "Mando" (Relating to certain comprehensive development agreements of the Texas Department of Transportation or a regional mobility authority.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Transportation Code to authorize the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) or a regional mobility authority to enter into a comprehensive development agreement (CDA) relating to improvements to or construction of the Farm-to-Market 1925 project in Cameron County.

The bill would authorize the Cameron County Regional Mobility Authority (CCRMA) and TxDOT to develop the project under a CDA. Based on the information provided by TxDOT, it is assumed any costs or duties associated implementing the proposed CDA would be accommodated within existing resources and through the allocation of the agency's existing highway planning and construction appropriations.

Local Government Impact

Because the bill would not have statewide impact on units of local government of the same type or class, no comment from this office is required by the rules of the House/Senate as to its probable fiscal implication on units of local government.
