HB1998 by Coleman (Relating to the definition of "non-physician mental health professional" for purposes of the Texas Mental Health Code.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would modify Chapter 571 of the Health and Safety Code by adding a licensed occupational therapist to the list of individuals classified as non-physician professionals who can provide supplemental testimony during certain hearings.  The Department of State Health Services indicates the bill can be implemented within existing resources.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
