No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Government Code to permit attorneys licensed to practice law in another state to be eligible to take the state's bar examination regardless of completion of study at an approved law school if the attorney is a United States citizen and satisfies all other license requirements. Based on the analysis of the Office of Court Administration, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources
