No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Business and Commerce Code relating to loss damage waivers in connection with the rental of certain heavy equipment; providing penalties. Based on the analysis of the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, Office of the Attorney General, and Comptroller of Public Accounts, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.
