The bill would amend the Occupations Code relating to service contracts, vehicle protection products and loss damage waivers for heavy equipment; requiring an occupational license; expanding the applicability of an occupational license. Based on the analysis of the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, Office of the Attorney General, and Comptroller of Public Accounts, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.
