HB2127 by Klick (Relating to the eligibility of presidential and vice presidential candidates to be placed on the ballot.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Election Code to require additional information from state party chairs before the Secretary of State can place candidates on the ballot for certain offices.

The Secretary of State indicates that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed within the agency's existing resources.

The bill would take effect immediately upon receiving a two-thirds majority vote in each house.  Otherwise, the bill would take effect September 1, 2015.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
