No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Agriculture Code to abolish the equine incentive program. The bill would direct the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) to distribute program collections to contributing breeders' associations no later than December 31, 2015. TDA would make distributions to each association based upon a formula in the bill. TDA indicates that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed within the agency's existing resources.
