No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would set certain guidelines for school service providers regarding the permissible uses of student personal information.

Local Government Impact

School districts using school service providers would provide authorization for use and retention of student personal information. School districts may incur costs to review school service provider privacy policies, security plans, and data collection and use policies.
