No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Alcoholic Beverage Code by repealing the prohibition on a person opening a container of liquor or beer, or possessing an opened container of liquor or beer, on the premises of a package store.
The bill would take effect on September 1, 2015.
Local Government Impact
The bill would repeal a misdemeanor offense. Lost revenue from reduced fines imposed and collected is not anticipated to have a significant fiscal impact on units of local government.
