LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD
Austin, Texas

FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION

April 22, 2015

TO:
Honorable Jimmie Don Aycock, Chair, House Committee on Public Education

FROM:
Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
HB2293 by Darby (relating to the certification by the comptroller to the commissioner of education of the taxable value of property in each school district.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend statutory provisions governing the Comptroller's certification of property values to the Commissioner of Education to provide for the details of the certification process to be the subject of an interagency memorandum of understanding. It is assumed for the purpose of this estimate that the process governed by the memorandum of understanding would be similar to the current statutory process.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
