HB2323 by Blanco (Relating to mandatory spinal screenings for children in certain grades attending public or private schools.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Health and Safety Code to modify the grade level at which children attending public or private schools would receive mandatory spinal screenings.

The Health and Human Services Commission, the Texas Education Agency, and the Department of State Health Services indicate that provisions of the bill could be implemented within existing resources.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
