HB2332 by Miller, Doug (Relating to the naming by the Texas Historical Commission of certain areas without historical value that are on historic sites.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code to allow the Historical Commission to name an area of a historic site in honor of a donor or benefactor provided the area does not have historical value.  The bill would take effect September 1, 2015.

The Historical Commission indicated the costs associated with implementation of the bill could be absorbed with existing resources and that the effect on donations cannot be estimated.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
