No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Human Resources Code relating to training for Juvenile Correctional Officers (JCOs) employed by Texas Juvenile Justice Department. Under the provisions of the bill, out of the required 300 hours of training, JCOs would have to complete a minimum of 240 hours of training before receiving job duties, and the remaining 60 hours within the first year of employment.
