Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board
IN RE:
HB2547 by Miller, Rick (Relating to the transfer of certain state property from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice to Fort Bend County.), As Introduced
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would require the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) to donate and transfer ownership of certain real property, as described in the bill, to Fort Bend County. Fort Bend County would be required to use the property for a purpose that benefits the public interest of the State. The General Land Office and TDCJ have determined the bill would not result in a significant fiscal impact to the State. The bill would take effect September 1, 2015.
Local Government Impact
Because the bill would not have statewide impact on units of local government of the same type or class, no comment from this office is required by the rules of the House/Senate as to its probable fiscal implication on units of local government.
