FROM:
Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board
IN RE:
HB2605 by Aycock (Relating to the issuance of Gold Star family member specialty license plates; eliminating a fee.), As Introduced
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would repeal Subsections 504.512 (a-1) and (b) of the Transportation Code, regarding the $10 fee for issuance of "Gold Star Mother," "Gold Star Father," "Gold Star Spouse" specialty license plates and discontinue issuance of the "Gold Star Family" specialty license plate.
Based on the information and analysis provided by the Department of Motor Vehicles and the Comptroller's office, it is assumed the elimination of the fee for the specialty license plates would not result in a significant impact to state or local revenue.
Local Government Impact
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
