April 7, 2015

TO:

FROM:
Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
HB2616 by Dutton (Relating to procedures related to juvenile justice proceedings; increasing the punishment for certain delinquent conduct.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Family Code and Human Resources Code relating to juvenile justice functions, including probation supervision of determinate sentenced youth. The bill would take effect September 1, 2015. This analysis assumes that any costs associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within agency resources.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
