LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD
Austin, Texas

FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION

April 15, 2015

TO:
Honorable Joseph Pickett, Chair, House Committee on Transportation

FROM:
Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
HB2620 by Burkett (Relating to disclosure of financial studies and reports associated with a toll project.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Transportation Code to require financial studies, traffic revenue reports and other documents relating to toll projects to be subject to disclosure under Chapter 552, Government Code regardless of whether the final contract for the project has been entered into.

The bill would repeal Chapter 371,052(d), Transportation Code.

The Office of the Attorney General  anticipates any additional work resulting from the passage of the bill could be reasonably absorbed within current resources. Based on the information provided by TxDOT, it is assumed any costs associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within agency's existing resources.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
