No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Health and Safety code as it relates to the release of medical information to first responders and certain entities. The Department of State Health Services indicates that implementing the bill could be accomplished within existing resources.

Local Government Impact

There may be costs to local health departments and health authorities to provide to first responders the physical address of persons being monitored by the local department or authority; however, no significant impact is anticipated.
