No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Chapter 573 of the Health and Safety Code by clarifying situations in which Emergency Medical Services personnel may transport a person directly to an inpatient mental health facility. The Department of State Health Services indicates the bill could be implementing within existing resources.
