No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Transportation Code to require a contract for the improvement to a segment of state highway to prohibit a state highway system from temporarily closing a highway on the date that an event is scheduled in a municipality, if the municipality notifies the Department of Transportation 180 days before the date of the event.
