HB2799 by Stickland (Relating to home-school education for foster children.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Family Code to require the Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) to allow a person providing substitute care for child in conservatorship to provide home-school education unless homeschooling is against court orders, is not in the best interest of the child, or is prevented by federal law.
