No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Natural Resources Code to require the General Land Office (GLO) to enter into a memorandum of understanding with the City of San Antonio to coordinate planning and development of improvements to the Alamo Complex and surrounding areas. The bill would amend the statutory duties of the Alamo Preservation Advisory Board and change the composition of the Board. One member of the Board would be a representative appointed by the speaker of the house and one would be a senator appointed by the lieutenant governor. The General Land Office indicates it could absorb the costs associated with implementing the provisions of the bill within its current resources. No fiscal impact to the state is anticipated from changing the composition of the Board.
