No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code to prohibit governmental entities from unreasonably restricting or eliminating consideration of construction materials used in a contract. The bill would also disallow governmental entities from specifying a prohibition on the use of certain construction materials meeting required recognized standards such as the American Society for Testing and Materials. Based on sample of state agencies, no fiscal impact to the State is anticipated.
