No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Local Government Code to modify the method to create a municipal management district (MMD), the appointment, qualifications and removal of directors of a MMD, the area a MMD could provide services to, requirements of certain petitions, and dissolution requirements. The bill would modify the eligibility requirements of directors of improvement projects in certain counties.
