No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Water Code to specify a director of a groundwater conservation district is considered a district employee under Chapter 101, Civil Practice and Remedies Code. Under the provisions of the bill, a groundwater conservation district board member is immune from suit and from liability for official votes and official actions.
