No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Health and Safety Code to require the term of office of certain directors and the method of selecting those directors in certain municipal hospital authorities to remain in place until after retirement of certain bonds. The bill would expand the bracketed population of counties who would be permitted to use investment of authority funds as specified in the provisions of the bill. The bill would add maturation criteria to a loan authorized under Section 315, Health and Safety Code, for the purposes of a hospital owned or operated by a local entity.
The bill would repeal Section 223.034, Health and Safety Code.
