IN RE:
HB3397 by Stephenson (Relating to water intake requirements for the Lower Colorado River Authority.), As Introduced
No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
Local Government Impact
According to the Lower Colorado River Authority, no fiscal implication is anticipated. According to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, the entity constructing the intake (which could include a river authority, county, municipality, water district, or other district) could incur additional costs if the cost of construction of the municipal intake at the level proposed in the bill would be greater than the cost of installing an intake above that level.
