No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Chapter 241 of the Health and Safety Code to require the Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) to assign hospitals with level of care designations based on neonatal intensive care and adopt related rules. DSHS and HHSC indicate that the provisions of the bill could be implemented using existing resources.
