No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure to clarify and expand the rights of a victim of sexual assault; codify a state policy regarding the rights of assault victims; and extend the time from 96 hours to 120 hours after the assault for making a report to law enforcement.
It is assumed the costs of implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within current resources.
