HB3477 by Goldman (Relating to restrictions on event ticket sales.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Occupations Code to prohibit certain activities related to the sale or resale of event tickets.  Under the bill provisions, the Office of the Attorney General (OAG) would be authorized to investigate violation claims and pursue certain civil legal action.  The bill would take effect September 1, 2015.

The OAG indicated the costs associated with implementation of the bill could be absorbed with existing resources.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
