HB3544 by Springer (Relating to the Texas Enterprise Fund.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Government Code to direct the Texas Enterprise Fund to award grants that create jobs in certain areas of the state. The bill would limit awards to certain types of businesses. The bill would require a Sunset Advisory Commission review of the Texas Enterprise Fund by August 31, 2024.  The bill would create certain requirements for grant applications. The bill would take effect September 1, 2015.
 
The Office of the Governor, the Sunset Advisory Commission and the Comptroller of Public Accounts indicate that any costs associated with implementation of the bill could be absorbed within existing resources.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
