HB3601 by Darby (Relating to the payment of interest by state agencies.), As Engrossed

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

Under the bill, a state agency would not have to pay interest on a late payment for goods or services if the interest accrued was less than or equal to $5. While the bill could reduce the amount agencies pay out in interest, the cost savings to the state are not anticipated to be significant.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
