HB3715 by Márquez (Relating to standing for certain individuals to file a suit affecting the parent-child relationship.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Family Code to allow a family or relative by blood, adoption, or marriage of either a former parent whose parent-child relationship has been terminated or of the father of the child to file an original suit regarding a child.

The Department of Family and Protective Service and the Office of Court Administration do anticipate any significant fiscal impacts as a result of complying with the provisions of the bill.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
